Students who choose to study GCSE Economics will explore how we’re all part of the economy and how economic choices and issues impact on our lives.
Our curriculum covers macro and micro economic principles and students will learn how to use these to explain and evaluate real life issues and events, and to make policy recommendations.
The course is ideal for pupils with an interest in current affairs and who want to know more about the world around them. Students should have an interest in debating and the analysis of key data. They will be able to use an enquiring, critical approach tod istinguish between fact and opinion, build arguments and make informed judgements. Assessment is by examination.
